This is a superb opportunity for an experienced senior pensions professional to join this in house team as a Pensions Technical Specialist. On a day to day basis you will be required to give advice and guidance on technical pensions issues to the group function teams, perform Secretarial duties to the Trustees, support related committees and manage the outsourced scheme administrator relationship. Other responsibilities include: To monitor and interpret legislative developments and industry trends, ensure compliance with legislation. Maintain legality and effectiveness of the pension schemes provision in the marketplace and support internal projects related to pension issues. Provide effective communication through presentations, announcements, booklets and website to promote understanding and appreciation of pensions issues and pension provisions made by the group Manage outsourced pensions administration; convey Trustees views/ wishes to ensure communications to members are understood and appreciated Pensions Technical Services: Manage the outsourced third party administrator, run committee meetings and workshops and ensure legal compliance of pension schemes (e.g. trust deed and rules, auto enrolment etc).
You will have a minimum of 4 years experience in the pensions industry, ideally be PMI qualified or working towards the qualification. You will have superb communication and presentation skills, be technically sound in all areas of pensions legislation and current practice and be able to demonstrate a successful career to date within pensions.
