Do you have 12 months experience in pensions administration and are looking for an opportunity to develop your career in the industry ? Our client, a leading firm of Pensions Consultants and Actuaries based in Birmingham City Centre, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced pensions administrator, with a minimum of 12 months in the industry, to join their team. Ideally you will have both DB and DC experience, although DC experience is essential. Working as part of a team ou will provide good quality processing of high volume, non technical pension activity to support the pension administration client teams. A significant proportion of this activity will be related to the administration of defined contribution (DC) investments.

The role will include the following day to day responsibilities:

Liaise with client teams
Process high-volume non-technical day to day pension activity in accordance with controlled processes.
Process scheduled and ad hoc DC member events including:
New joiners
Early leavers
Transfers In and Transfers Out
Illustrative quotations
Process scheduled and ad hoc DC scheme activity, including:
Contribution load
Investment trading and allocation of unit transactions to member records
DC Controls
Unit and employer cash surplus reconciliation
DC data validation (DC Metrics)
Provide administrative support to public sector clients for an ill-health early retirement policy with a leading insurance provider
Provide administrative support to a client and its employees in relation to a Group Personal Pension arrangement
Ensure office procedures are followed, including keeping full notes of all telephone conversations and being aware of compliance requirements.
Carry out other tasks and ad-hoc projects as may reasonably be expected to be carried out by a processing administrator.
Responding to emails within delegated level of authority.
General Office Administration
Undertake ad hoc associated general administration duties, including filing, photo-copying, mailing exercises
Support other team members across the Birmingham office as and when required.
